Born in 1968, Gudjon Olafur completed a law degree from the University of Iceland in 1992, specialising in criminal law. He was awarded a Master‘s degree in international law with distinction from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. Gudjon Olafur has also completed a diploma in Business and Administration as well as certification as a securities broker. Currently, he is studying for an MPA degree at the University of Iceland. Gudjon Olafur is a leading trial attorney in Iceland.



Helga Reynisdóttir

Helga Reynisdóttir
Helga was born in 1987and is assistant to the firm‘s attorneys. She is a post graduate student of law at Reykjavik University. Helga completed her BA degree at the School of Law of Reykjavik University in 2010. She completed her upper secondary education at Verzlunarskoli Islands in 2007. Helga was member of the board of editors of “Lögrétta” during 2009-2010.

Johannes R. Johannsson, Partner
Born in 1964, Johannes Runar graduated with a law degree from the University of Iceland in 1993. Johannes Runar’s areas of expertise are company, banking and securities law; bankruptcy proceedings, criminal and trial law. Johannes has been a lecturer at the Law School of the University of Iceland since 1996 and at the Law Faculty at Reykjavik University since its inception in 2002. For a number of years, Johannes Runar practiced law as senior partner.








Lovisa Jonsdottir
Lovisa was born in 1975 and works as an IP Attorney. After completing her Master Degree in Business Law and Business Administration (Cand. merc. jur) she joined one of the largest Intellectual Property agencies in Iceland were she became partner, she was the Head of the Trademark department and from 2008 Head of Sales & Marketing. Throughout her carrier, Lovisa has been working with a wide range of IPRs for a versatile range of clients, from all areas of the economic spectrum, such as food, pharmaceutical and clothing industry as well as the finance sector.

Oskar Sigurdsson, Partner
After completing his law degree at the University of Iceland in 1997, Oskar Sigurdsson qualified as District Court barrister in 2007 and barrister to the Supreme Court of Iceland in 2005. Since 1998, Oskar has taught proprietary rights and claims law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Iceland. He also teaches professional training courses for real estate agent qualifications. Oskar is an experienced trial attorney.

Reynir Karlsson

Reynir graduated with a degree in law from the University of Iceland in 1982. He qualified as District Court barrister in 1985 and as barrister to the Supreme Court of Iceland in 1995. Since 1983 Reynir has practiced law as senior partner. He has vast experience as trial attorney and as legal councelor to corporates and istitutions.

Teitur Mar Sveinsson
Teitur Már was born in 1980. He graduated with an upper secondary diploma from college in 2000, and a diploma from the Icelandic Film Institute in 2001. He also completed journeyman´s examination in masonry in 2005. Teitur completed a BA degree in law from the University of Iceland in 2009 and a MA degree from the same school in 2011. He qualified as a District Court barrister in 2011.

Born in 1964, Valgerdur Anna Gudmundsdóttir is in charge of office administration in JP Attorneys’ Selfoss office. She is responsible for collection cases, accounting, payroll and invoicing as well as information gathering, archiving and other aspects of tort and probate cases handled by JP Attorneys. She has been an employee of JP Attorneys since 2001.
